SON: LISTEN & LEARN

- BY JAMES NURSEY

HEUNG-MIN SON insists Tottenham’s drubbing at Leicester must be their “biggest lesson”.

Antonio Conte returned to the dug-out after gallbladder surgery to see his side collapse in spectacular style.

They blew an early lead from Rodrigo Bentancur before folding, and Son (below) admits the visitors then lost their heads and their shape.

And the South Korea forward has demanded his club-mates quickly learn from their errors as they head to Milan for tomorrow’s first leg of their last-16 tie in the Champions League.

Son said: “This could be the biggest lesson for us and this situation should not be happening again in Milan.

“We conceded the second goal and after that we were rushing a little bit because we wanted to get the equaliser as quickly as possible. Then the space we left was massive.

“Leicester have quality players and they were so clinical. We have to bounce back. We are playing in the Champions League on Tuesday.

“This was everyone’s dream and we wanted to be in this position last year. “This could be the most important game because it’s a knockout stage so we have to bounce back stronger than ever. Words are not enough.

“I can stand here and speak all day but the most important thing is what happens on the pitch. We have to be a unit and we have to be all together in the same way.

“We have only a few more days so we have to recover well, eat well, sleep well, and go there and give it absolutely everything to achieve our aim.”

The defeat was a huge setback for Tottenham who had previously beaten champions Manchester City 1-0. Son added: “That is in the past. I don’t want to talk too much about that performance. You learn more in a bad performance than in a good one.”
