Brit killed in manhole fall
A BRITISH man died after falling down an open manhole on the Costa del Sol.
The unnamed 40-yearold, in the area to visit his parents, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Firefighters had to pull his body out of the 8ft hole.
He died of a head wound from the fall beside the AP-7 motorway at Calahonda, between Marbella and Fuengirola, on Saturday.
Investigators concluded it was a tragic accident.

he became poorly at his doggy day care and then vomited four balls up in their back garden last month.
The building site supervisor, of Westerhope, Newcastle, said: “He was passed out in the garden and only came to when I carried him.
“The insurance covered some of the £2,500 bill but I have paid out around £1,000... he is worth every penny. I always say he is my son.
“It’s lovely to have him acting like his normal, playful self again. But he’ll be in a muzzle from now on.“
