A MAN killed in the Didcot power station collapse has been named as dad-of-two Mick Collings, as hopes faded of finding his missing three colleagues alive.

He is yet to be formally identified but members of a motorbike club last night paid warm tribute to “Whitby Mick” – and the demolition man’s family travelled to the scene in Oxfordshire.

Two of the missing men thought to have been in the disused boiler house on Tuesday when it fell are said to be from Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

The third feared buried under 30ft of twisted metal and smashed concrete is from Wales. They were prep preparing it to be knocked down. Last night it was revealed this was the first time the firm behind the demolition had handled a power station.

Yesterday there was no answer at Middlesbrough fan Mr Collings’s red-brick semi in Brotton, N Yorks, which has a sign saying “Mick’s Man Cave” above the garage door.

But Teesriders Motorcycle Club friends paid tribute to him on the club’s Facebook page. One read: “Words cannot describe how gutted I am to be writing this.”

Daniel Shepherd wrote: “Absolutely gutted, as a biker one of the nicest blokes I’ve met, cracking guy.”

Shaz Morgan said he was a “big lad with DRAMA teacher Andrew Wilson smeared Nutella over a 14-year-old pupil during a string of sex assaults.

Wilson, 48, liked by schoolkids because he was “trendy”, kissed and groped the girl whenever he could.

Prosecutor Emma Kehoe told Burnley crown court: “The two of them had Nutella and then licked it from their naked bodies. Mr Wilson was very keen that she got home because her parents knew nothing of what was going on.” She added: “She was happy and loving the attention. She does not say she was not fully co-operating.”

Wilson, 48, now of Northampton, met the girl when she was in Year Eight at Fearns High School, Bacup, Lancs. He pleaded guilty to five sex offences on his victim aged 14 or 15 in the 90s. He was jailed for 20 months. Wilson, who is chief carer for his severely disabled son, 23, lost his job, reputation, marriage and home, said Philip Holden, defending.

Judge Jonathan Gibson said he considered a suspended sentence but: “Given the pupil-teacher relationship, that simply cannot be”.
