There’s always a moment during one of Piers Morgan’s interviews where the celebrity gets emotional.

As his series returns, first in the hot seat is the queen of reality telly, Gemma Collins, aka The GC.

Expect to see a tear-jerking interview as she breaks down over cruel death threats she has received from online trolls.

The 40 year old, known for her unforgettable appearances on TOWIE, I’m A Celebrity, Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice, talks about the “downside to fame”, but tells Piers “I’m a lot more comfortable now in my own skin”.

It’s been a tough year for the star, who has had an on-off relationship with boyfriend James Argent and whose parents contracted Covid-19.

Piers will no doubt tackle every angle of her life, but Gemma has revealed the interview was “a very healing process”.

Talking about the chat with Piers, she wrote on Instagram: “The highs and lows of the GC rollercoaster! Guys, this was a pinch-myself moment!

Dear Coleen

I’m a woman in my early 20s and I’ve liked this guy at work for ages. I made the mistake of telling him I thought he was sexy and now he brings it up as a joke all the time in front of other people, which is embarrassing.

Other times when it’s just the two of us, he’s actually really flirty, which makes me think he likes me, but I’m getting a lot of mixed messages.

I don’t want to embarrass myself further by asking him where we stand – if we’re just mates or if he wants to date.

I’m not very experienced in terms of relationships. Am I wasting my time?

Coleen says

He sounds pretty childish to me and a bit mean if he’s making jokes at your expense. Maybe he does like you, but is too immature to handle it properly, or maybe he just enjoys the fact that you fancy him.

Don’t waste any more time overthinking this or worrying about it. There are plenty of guys out there who would have taken your comment as a huge compliment and been very keen to go on a date and get to know you better.

And if this joker tries to get any more laughs at your expense, just say, “Well I used to think you were sexy, but now I’ve got to know you, I’ve changed my mind”. I don’t think he’d risk any more one liners after that.

THE boss of George Best Belfast City Airport is to retire after 16 years in post.

Brian Ambrose will leave the business this summer at an unprecedented time for the aviation industry, with the Covid-19 pandemic prompting a sharp drop in air travel around the world.

During Mr Ambrose’s time in the post, the airport had grown substantially, adding new routes to destinations such as Amsterdam, Malaga and the Canary Islands and growing the frequency of flights to its core destinations such as London.

Much of that volume had fallen away over the last year as the pandemic hit, culminating in the collapse of Flybe, which accounted for the bulk of flights from the airport, early in 2020.

Mr Ambrose and the team had workhand since then and has now filled all the vacant Flybe slots, much of which have been taken up by Aer Lingus, the Iag-owned carrier which moved to Belfast City from Belfast International Airport in 2012.

As well as air traffic, the chief executive has also overseen substantial expansion and improvement in the airport’s facilities, under a number of owners, the latest of which is a fund managed by 3i.

But it is the achievements of the last year which have been the most rewarding, Mr Ambrose said.

He added: “I have seen huge changes within the industry over the last 40 years but never more so than within the last year as we navigated the collapse of Flybe and a global pandemic.”
