Leadership boost for post-pandemic rebuild

NI Chamber last week hosted the inaugural event from ICC Belfast’s new hybrid studio.

The World-class Leadership Live virtual conference aimed to help bosses rise to the challenge of emerging and rebuilding from the impact of Covid-19.

It hosted a panel of exemplars from around the globe including Margot Slattery of the Sodexo Group, Kieran Kennedy of O’neill’s Sportswear, and Laith Dajani of the William J Clinton Leadership Institute.

BBC NI’S Mark Simpson hosted the event while others broadcast their contributi­ons live from New York, Lebanon and Dublin.

KPMG has partnered with Queen’s University Belfast to offer financial support and work experience scholarshi­ps for students planning to study at Queen’s Management School.

The support, which will start with the 2020 intake, includes an annual living allowance of £3,000, two paid summer internship­s, a laptop and a business mentor.
