Girl power struggle

Posh & Ginger in battle for who’s in charge of Spice Girls reunion

- BY ASHLEIGH RAINBIRD EXCLUSIVE

SPICE Girls Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell are locked in a battle as they both wannabe in charge of the re-formed band.

Just days after the girls announced a reunion, they have split into two camps as Posh and Ginger try to take control of the comeback.

Posh, 43, is demanding full control, even enlisting her personal publicist to handle matters. But Ginger Spice Geri, 45, is also desperate to take command.

Sources say Victoria has the upper hand because she had resisted a reunion for so long.

One said: “Geri would like to be a dominant voice but because Victoria was so reluctant to reunite the power balance is shifted in her favour. All five want this to run smoothly, but there is mounting tension because the ball is in Victoria’s court. Victoria being in the driving seat is already causing a strain between some of the girls. The road ahead could get very bumpy.”

Geri, 45, admits she had “let go” of the idea of a reunion after teaming up with just two of her old bandmates, Mel B, 42, and Emma Bunton, 42.

Mel C, 44, only agreed to regroup when Victoria came on board and the five finally met up for talks last week.

The source said: “It was clear during their meet-up that there are lots of different personalities coming together with conflicting views.”
