GINI IN KLOPP TALKS OVER BARCA MOVE

GINI WIJNALDUM will meet Jurgen Klopp for talks about his future when he returns to Liverpool. The Holland midfielder is wanted by Barcelona head coach Ronald Koeman and has entered the final 12 months of his Anfield contract. Klopp would be happy for the 29-year-old to stay but Liverpool could go for Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara if Wijnaldum joins Barca.

■ EVERTON have signed midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, 27, from Watford for £20million.

NEWCASTLE have signed full back Jamal Lewis from Norwich City on a five-year contract. Lewis, 22, is the fifth player to move to St James’ Park in the window, following winger Ryan Fraser and forward Callum Wilson from Bournemouth, midfielder Jeff Hendrick from Burnley and Mark Gillespie from Motherwell.

■ MICHY BATSHUAYI is set for a loan return to Crystal Palace. The Chelsea striker, 26, is expected to sign a one-year extension to his contract then rejoin Palace for the season.

CHELSEA defender Fikayo Tomori, 22, may move to Everton on loan.

■ LIVERPOOL will decide whether to sell £20m-rated striker Rhian Brewster amid interest from Sheffield United.

BURNLEY have rejected West Ham’s £27m offer for defender James Tarkowski.
