SPOT THE CLUES TO A BRITISH CASTLE AND YOU COULD WIN £50,000

This glorious image of an arts festival in the grounds of a British castle depicts a perfect summer’s day out. While some of the visitors listen enthusiastically to a concert or queue up patiently to meet their favourite author, others sit back with a book or cool off with a drink or a dish of delicious strawberries and cream. But look again – because hidden in the picture is this week’s first treasure hunt clue... STEP 1 Look all around the picture and see if you can spot a series of individual letters that have been cleverly inserted into the scene.

STEP 2 Keep note of the individual letters as you find them – there should be seven.

STEP 3 Once you’ve spotted all seven, unscramble them to spell out the name of a British castle. Write your answer in the space provided (top right). If you’re stuck for the solution to today’s clue, call our Solution Line on 0901 293 6200. Calls cost £1 plus your network access charge.

STEP 4 Then starting on Monday and all next week in the Daily Mail, we will print five more clues in the form of puzzles, the answers to which are all other British castles.
