Inspector Chen: Enigma Of China

Inspector Chen, the poet turned policeman, has another politicall­y tricky case on his hands. Zhou Keng is dismissed from his post on the Shanghai Housing Developmen­t Committee, accused of corruption. He is placed under house arrest – and later found hanged. The official verdict is suicide, but the perceptive Inspector Chen has his own theories.
