Ever since it was liberated by the departure of Brody in season three, this US series has been delivering lean and reliably thrilling spy stories based around the unstable Carrie (Claire Danes). Season six, which reaches its penultimate part tomorrow at 9pm on Ch4, has also given poor Peter Quinn plenty of well-deserved focus.
