Fears for teen boys after drug overdose
THREE teenagers have fallen seriously ill after taking drugs from a potentially deadly batch, police warned last night.
The boys, two aged 15 and one 14, were taken to hospital on Thursday after becoming ill in Bury, Greater Manchester police said.
One of the 15-year-olds and the 14-year-old remain in a “serious but stable” condition while the second 15-year-old is now in an induced coma.
Chief Inspector Phil Spurgeon said the boys had suffered “a highly unusual and worrying reaction” after taking the pills some time on Wednesday before becoming ill the following morning.
He said the “highly dangerous” tablets they had recovered were embossed with the letters ‘UPS’ and are currently being tested.
But preliminary findings reveal the tablets contain “a concerning number of components”, and police warn anyone who has taken a ‘UPS’ pill to seek medical attention.
Chief Insp Spurgeon added: “We are still not certain what drugs the boys have taken, however we have Right up his Wall Street… Michael Douglas with his actor son Dylan, 18 Angelina Jolie with her 12-year-old daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt COMEDIAN Michael McIntyre and his son look like peas in a pod as they watch a basketball game.
