Soap star fights for her life after horror car crash
HOME And Away star Jessica Falkholt was last night fighting for her life after a Boxing Day car crash that killed both her parents.
The actress, 28, and her younger sister Annabelle, 21, are both in a critical condition following the devastating accident in New South Wales, Australia.
Family members were with sisters in hospital last night.
Their parents Lars, 69, and Vivian, 60, lost their lives in the head- on collision, according to local reports.

A 50- year- old man, named as Craig Anthony Whitall, who was driving the other car involved in the accident, was also killed.
Reports suggest the crash occurred after one car was on the wrong side of the road.
Witnesses said a fire “incinerated” both vehicles after the sisters were pulled from the wreckage before being airlifted to hospital.
Their parents’ bodies were so badly burned they reportedly had to be identified using dental records.
Witness Darrin Collier saw the crash and helped emergency service workers pull the women from the burning wreckage.
He said: “The injuries on the two girls will be something I won’t forget in a long time.” Jessica is best known for her role as Hope Morrison in the long- running Australian soap in 2016.
The actress has also appeared in a number of stage plays and television commercials.
She also has a role in supernatural thriller Harmony, which is due for release in 2018.
She graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney three years ago.
A family friend said: “They were a very close family and had been on a quiet getaway. Jessica is a most beautiful person.”
New South Wales Police have issued a warning to drivers about “fatigue and complacency”, with the state’s road accident fatality toll now rising to 873 for 2017.
Chief Inspector Phil Brooks said: “More than half of these have involved single vehicle run- offs, either into a tree or a telegraph pole, sadly killing that driver and/ or their passenger, which is an indicator to us that fatigue is the most likely outcome in these very sad and tragic events this close to Christmas.”
