‘Vicky pollard’ single mum in drunken assault
A JOBLESS single mother nicknamed Vicky Pollard after the Little Britain TV comedy character was hauled into court after a drunken row over who fathered her unborn child.
Aileen Cullinane, 27, the double of Matt Lucas’s yobette, attacked her mother and stepfather.
Pink-haired Cullinane, from Salford, Greater Manchester, assaulted Lynn Gradwell, 54, and Mark Gradwell, 51, in a clash over her upbringing.
Earlier she had downed eight cans of lager during a “discussion” with her boyfriend over who was the father of the child.
Cullinane, who claims £340 a month state handouts, arrived late for her case before Manchester and Salford magistrates. She admitted two charges of assault. Ann Deakin, prosecuting, said: “She had left her 10-year-old daughter with her mother and stepfather while visiting a friend.
“While out she had eight cans of lager and when she returned an argument happened about her upbringing. The defendant accepts she pulled her Matt Lucas as the TV yobette mother’s hair twice. Mark was trying to call the police when she tried to stop him by grabbing the phone out of his hand and struck him.”
Shortly before she was to be sentenced, Cullinane was confronted by an ex-partner with a green mohican haircut. He shouted: “I’m going to stab her and kick that baby out of her.”
The unidentified man chased her into a side room and banged on the window. When court staff intervened, he tried to butt them and then fled.
Cullinane was given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay £75 costs.
