Snuggle
Mum and dad Flo and Percy had 16 children in 21 years. Four are dead but the rest live in Coventry, Wolverhampton, Leicester and Wales and still enjoy an annual get- together.
Third- youngest Valerie 79, said: “We were delighted when the record was confirmed.” Second- youngest Phyllis, 78, said: “There weren’t many months when mother wasn’t pregnant. But they didn’t have TV back then. You had to snuggle up to keep warm as there was no central heating, and one thing leads to another.”
She added: “We have our moments when we disagree but we never fall out or bear a grudge.”
CONGRATULATIONS to the Tweed siblings, aged between 76 and 95, recognised as the oldest family in the world by Guinness World Records. The 12 brothers and sisters have a combined age of more than 1,000. You’re never too old for anything, record breaking included.
