A CARE provider is looking to employ 100 extra people in South Wales.

Abacare has been awarded a place on a 10 year framework contract to provide domiciliary care in Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil areas to complement the services it provides elsewhere already.

Thousands of people are currently supported by Abacare in North, Mid and South Wales and following its successes in these areas, it has now been awarded a place on the framework in RCT and Merthyr Tydfil.

The care provider, which has been voted the UK’s most outstanding for two years running, will be hosting a series of recruitment days.

Peter Angelides, CEO of Abacare, said: “As an award-winning organisation, we’re currently looking for 100 staff members to join our team.

“We’ve been operating at a very high standard for a number of years across Wales and have an excellent team of highly trained staff.

“This new contract means we are now looking to take on more staff in RCT and Merthyr to add to our current valued and highly motivated team.”

Abacare supports thousands of people to remain in their own homes. It provides a range of services, from daily calls and sleep-ins to bespoke live- in care services.

Mr Angelides added: “If you are a caring person, with or without experience, Abacare can help you achieve your goals to become an exceptional carer.

“We offer training, competitive rates, travel time for walkers and drivers, mileage payments, consistent hours and runs, a refer a friend scheme and national discount scheme for major brands.”

Recruitment days are being held at Ty Menter, Navigation Park, Abercynon, CF45 4SN.

The first date will be on Wednesday, August 31, followed by further recruitment days on Thursday, September 1, Wednesday, September 7, and Thursday, September 8, from 10am until 3pm.
