30 people caught breaking Covid rules at big house party
POLICE caught a pub open and 30 people at a lockdown law-breaking house party across the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
Warwickshire Police has revealed all of its suspected coronavirus rule-breaking call-outs across the county - and the fines given out.
And it includes some blatant breaches of the current rules.
On Saturday, April 3, officers were called out to a huge house party in Nuneaton.
Under current restrictions only six people, or two households, are allowed in a private garden.
But when police arrived at the property on Bracebridge Street they found 30 people at a party, a mixture of adults and children.
All of the adults were reported for fines.
Officers responded to reports that a licensed establishment in High Street, Polesworth was open.
Under current lockdown laws, pubs cannot open until Monday (April 12) and then it is only outdoor.
As a result of the call-out, on Wednesday, March 30, two people were reported for fines and the business owner was also reported.
Other fines, Saturday April 3: Trinity Close, Stratford - Report of household visitors, police attend and occupant admitted to breach. Reported for fine.
Sunday, April 4: Avon Way, Bidford - Report of a house party, police attend and two were reported for fines. Oxford Street, Rugby - Report of disturbance and house gathering. Police attend and one person was reported for a fine. Dempster Court, Nuneaton Report of a house party, police attend and two people reported for fines.
