‘ Marc will be the perfect hands-on dad!’
She certainly had a pregnancy glow when she was pictured out in London last week, showing off her growing baby bump as she ran errands in the sunshine.
Now insiders tell Closer how Natalie Cassidy – who is engaged to cameraman Marc Humphreys; and has a five-year-old daughter, Eliza, from her relationship to Adam Cottrell – is doing all the last-minute preparations with her fiancé by her side.
A source says: “Nat’s been saying what a great support Marc is. She’s been picking out various things for the nursery, which they’ve just finished together and he’s been making her favourite foods and taking her out. He’s so attentive; she thinks he’ll make a great hands-on dad.
“Natalie wants a natural birth, like she had with Eliza, and she wants him to be by her side. She is completely in love with him and can’t wait to get married after the birth.”
The Eastenders actress, who plays Sonia Fowler in the BBC soap, got engaged to Marc on their one-year anniversary in October, and announced they were expecting their first child together on Twitter in February, writing: “Evening all… time to let everybody know that @cameramarc and I are having a baby in the summer. The three musketeers become four.”
A source says: “Natalie can’t wait for Eliza to have a sibling. She’s been telling her everything about what it will be like to have a baby in the house so that she knows what’s in store. She wants to give Eliza as much attention as possible when the baby arrives so she never feels left out.”
