Roundabout needs a spruce

-

What a magnificent job has been made on the big roundabout at Bognor.

Tidy roundabouts make such a difference to an area. If Felpham Dental are still sponsoring it then thank you.

As this paper seems to be more about Chichester lately (does no-one in

Bognor have an opinion about anything ?) the big roundabout on Bognor Bridge outside Chichester needs urgent attention.

It’s becoming a driving hazard as you have no clear vision across the roundabout.

Would the authorities not consider approaching the Goodwood Estate for this roundabout ?

Its many visitors to all the events there probably all pass across this roundabout and I’m sure some temporary advertising or directions could be allowed on the roundabout on events days.

Apart from race days ,motor events and the Revival we now have Goodwoof so the Goodwood Estate is generating a lot of traffic and business in this area.

The Chichester roundabout hasn’t looked good since the Beaver Tool Hire sponsorship finished and we had that lovely wooden beaver sat on it.

Not much of an advert for Chichester is it ? capital of the UK.

Having moved down from Edinburgh in August last year, I would suggest that this accolade goes to Edinburgh, not Chi.

Both my wife and I were very pleased with the state of the local roads around here when compared with Edinburgh where the local roads, especially in and around the city look and feel more like those which are found in a third world country.

They are absolutely dreadful.

I would contend that it is all relative to what you might be used to.

Having said that though, the roads around Chi have definitely got worse since we got here, but people have to understand that we have had an extremely wet winter which must have had an effect on the roads everywhere in the UK.

Finally, I would suggest that it's a very difficult thing to measure whether a place is the pothole capital or not. It is very subjective.
