BUSY TIME FOR THE ATHLETES
ATHLETES from South, East and West Wales travelled to Aberdare to represent their region at the Welsh Inter-regional Track & Field Championships.
The West Wales team included more than 20 Carmarthenshire junior and senior runners, jumpers and throwers.

Meanwhile, Frank Morgan (1500m, 4:00.14) and Liam Edwards (3000m, 8:40.47) competed at the British Milers Club Races at Birmingham University and Loughborough respectively.
And there were podium finishes for Ben Thomas and Lili Church at the England Athletics U20 & U23 championships in Bedford.
Thomas completed the 3000m steeplechase in third in 9:32.20 while Church cleared 1.75m in the high jump for a second-place finish.
Endurance runners were also in action at several road running races in Carmarthenshire and further afield.
