Family firms’ Gateway move

NEIGHBOURS AT LOGISTICS PARK INCLUDE GREGGS AND TYRE FACTORY

TWO family-run businesses are set to move to a new units in Burton.

Signage and Printing specialist­s, Xpress Print Solutions and nursery retailer Bambinos and Beyond will move into a shared unit at Albion Gateway site in Burton located near the Pirelli Stadium in Derby road.

The two businesses will move into one of the three remaining units at the 10-acre logistics park.

Director at Bambinos and Beyond Shannon Harris said: “It was important for us to find a new home that could cater for our business needs while offering a high quality and well-located warehouse space.

“Albion Gateway has not just provided us with these specific requiremen­ts but has also located us close to key transporta­tion routes.”

The Albion Gateway site is less than a mile from the A38 and just two miles from Burton town centre.

There are two remaining units measuring 2,884sq ft and 4,308sq ft, both of which are still available, said

St Modwen Logistics, the firm behind the project.

St Modwen owns the site and has welcomed the new businesses to the site, which it says is “very popular”.

Greggs, DHL, Pirelli and Door and

Joinery Solutions already have units at the developmen­t, with St Modwen saying it has so far “delivered a total warehouse floor space of more than 130,000sq ft at the scheme”.

Director at commercial property consultant­s Rushton Hickman Limited, Paul Rushton, who has been involved in getting the units occupied, said: “Albion Gateway has proven to be a very popular scheme and there is strong interest in the two remaining units.

“This site is a prime location for businesses to establish themselves further and the units are suitable for a variety of trade counter, industrial and warehouse occupiers.”
