RENAISSANCE

-

Billed as the largest superyacht ever to emerge from a Spanish shipyard, Renaissance is a vast project by any measure. At 7,200GT, she can host 36 guests in 19 cabins across three decks, with an entire deck dedicated to the owner. There is al fresco dining available on four of those decks, and Burgess has just announced that she is the world’s most expensive charter vessel, with rates starting at three million euros per week.

Designed by Bannenberg & Rowell inside and out, the yacht is conceived for multigenerational use, with lots of flexible spaces that lend themselves to varying purposes. Amenities abound, with a huge beach club that includes a bar and waterside dining; there’s a pool on the main deck; and not just a spa, but a whole deck devoted to wellness. Guests can dip into hot and cold plunge pools, relax in the sauna and steam room or enjoy a range of treatments, such as hair and beauty care on the balcony.

“She’s the largest project we’ve ever delivered, with almost certainly the largest yacht gym afloat,” says designer Dickie Bannenberg. “Large is a good watchword: double-height saloon and dining space; room for 36 guests on board; four custom Cockwells tenders; fully equipped business centre; and a cinema.”

Besides a well-equipped toy garage, there’s also a certified helipad. And although Burgess’s charter schedule shows the classic Med-Caribbean, Renaissance’s hull is built to Ice Class 1D, meaning she can tackle 40-centimetre-thick ice. This is a yacht designed to go high latitudes.
