Charlotte heading in the right direction, says Louis

-

Be Charlotte was regarded by many as the hit of the day on the BBC Introducing stage at T in the Park on Saturday.

And the band – fronted by former Hill Primary School pupil Charlotte Brimner – was trending all over the world on social media thanks to a little help from a certain Louis Tomlinson of One Direction fame.

Charlotte said: “We went on stage and played a brilliant show then came off to find Twitter had gone mental and we were trending all over the world.

“Louis Tomlinson had tweeted a Maida Vale session we did and said we were playing T in the Park and it just went mad.”

She added: “I knew he was a fan but I had no idea he was going to do this, it was an amazing surprise.

“There has been a bit of Louis stuff going on.”

This was the second year running the trio have played the legendary event following their debut on the T Break stage on Strathallan Castle Estate.

And it is the latest in a string of summer performances for the band who have so far appeared at Brew in Bog near Inverness last month and, more recently, the Kelburn Garden Party.

They will also be performing at the Audio Soup festival in the Scottish Borders later this month and the Belladrum Tartan Heart festival in August.

Talented singer/songwriter Charlotte, a graduate of the Blairgowrie-based Scrap Happy Theatre Company, has impressed music fans throughout the country with her amazing vocal performances and intelligent lyrics.

She has reached new audiences this year with near sell out gigs in Glasgow and appearances on BBC Radio Scotland’s Quay Sessions and the Vic Galloway Show - not to mention the recent online endorsement by one of the world’s most famous boy band heartthrobs.
