Mailbox contemporary art gallery set to expand
AN art showroom in Birmingham city centre is to quadruple in size.
Castle Fine Art is expanding its base in the Mailbox into a 6,000 sq ft showroom at the front of the boutique shopping mall which will open in the summer.
The shop will continue to sell pieces by contemporary artists including Bob Dylan, Lorenzo Quinn and Domingo Zapata as well as new names.
The new gallery will also give the company the space to host exhibitions and appearances by artists.
Ian Weatherby-Blythe, managing director of owner Washington Green Fine Art, said: “The clear alignment between our brand and the Mailbox has been instrumental in positioning us in front of Birmingham’s art lovers.
“We’re incredibly excited to take up residence in our spectacular new flagship gallery at the Mailbox and look forward to welcoming new and existing customers there this summer.”
