A REAL EVENT
See equestrian star Harry Meade at Gatcombe Park
Leading estate agent Hamptons International is renewing its special relationship with Gatcombe Park for the 15th year. It is once again proud to be a sponsor at the Magic Millions Festival of British Eventing from August 3-5.
Set within the grounds of Gatcombe Park, the home of HRH The Princess Royal and her family, the event is a highlight of the equestrian calendar.
The Festival will host five Championships - the Magic Millions British Open CIC3*, the Smith & Williamson British Intermediate Championship, the Dodson & Horrell British Novice Championship, the Topspec Challenge for The Corinthian Cup and the ROR/NTF Retrained Racehorse Event Championship.
Gatcombe Park is set to be transformed for the entire weekend and will host a shopping and food village and offers a great day out for all the family.
To celebrate the partnership, Hamptons International is working with renowned British rider Harry Meade. Over the course of the weekend, Harry will join Hamptons International’s guests and treat them all to a walk around the course, highlighting the skill and technique it requires to master the championship course.
To further mark the partnership, and this special 15th year of sponsorship Harry has filmed an interview for Hamptons International at his home in the Cotswolds sharing the reasons why The Festival is so close to his heart, along with his top tips on what to consider when looking to purchase an equestrian home.
He said: “I would always recommend looking for a plot that has the natural raw ingredients. Before you even start looking for the right building, look for the right soil type, preferably old turf and free draining land in an accessible bit of the country – it’s no use living down a lane that you can’t get a horsebox down.
“It’s finding a property that works for you, and everyone has different set ups. This is where a good estate agent is essential.
“It is such a big decision and a good agent can help with a lot of the background checks ruling out properties that don’t have the right criteria. Good honest advice will always stand you in good stead.”
Andrew Marshall, regional director at Hamptons International said: “We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the Magic Millions Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park for the 15th consecutive year, and we’re delighted to be working with Harry once again.
“Our collaboration with The Festival and our partnership with Harry has become almost a tradition over the years, and this is an event the whole business looks forward to.
“Once again, the Hamptons popup branch will be stationed on site across the whole weekend and we invite anyone who is interested in buying, selling, renting or letting a property to come and visit.
“One of our friendly agents will be on hand to answer your property related questions.”
