Hundreds go for skills seminar
More than 200 Ayrshire school pupils found out more about apprenticeships at a special event.
National skills agency Skills Development Scotland ( SDS) were the hosts for the seminar, which was attended by employers, training providers and partners at the two day event.
Also included were exhibits and demonstrations from local employers such as GSK, GE Aviation, UTAS, JB Management, North Ayrshire Council and Ayrshire College.
SDS Director of National Training Programmes, Katie Hutton, said: “More and more young people across Scotland are choosing apprenticeships and work based learning to get their careers off to a great start.
“We’re encouraged by the level of interest in work based learning and hope that the available advice along with the dedicated website apprenticeships. scot will help inform young people when making choices about their future.”

The event took place at Seamill Hydro with pupils from North and South Ayrshire attending.
