Girvan cracked opened the champagne on Monday night... and now Auchinleck Talbot are gunning to join them.

The Hamilton Parkers clinched the Ayrshire League with a 3- 0 win at Kello thanks to goals from David Cunningham, David Jardine and Craig Reid.

Now if they win away to Saltcoats on Monday, they will have completed the league season unbeaten.

A double from David Cunningham and a Scott Dinwoodie strike gave them a 3- 2 win at Muirkirk on Saturday .

Talbot are aiming for revenge when they meet Hurlford in Friday night’s West of Scotland Cup final at Newlandsfield, only two months after Hurlford won 2- 0 in the Scottish Cup quarter- finals.

Talbot edged closer to the title when they beat Pollok 4- 1 last Saturday with goals from Keir Milliken, Graham Wilson ( penalty), Dwayne Hyslop and Mark Shankland. The visitors had keeper Jordan Longmuir sent off.

On Monday night, a Robert Love doubled rescued a 2- 2 draw away Beith after David Christie and David McGowan had fired the hosts ahead.

Hurlford, who drew 1- 1 with Glenafton, need to win their final three – including a tussle with Talbot next Wednesday – to pip Auchinleck for the flag.
