East Ayrshire Council offers a variety of support to help our business community and attract investment.
beReady is our newest business development programme, working with both new and established local businesses to build their capacity, providing tailored support through a comprehensive programme of workshops, training events and one to one consultancy support.
Working through the beReady programme helps companies assess their situation and access the expertise they need to grow and develop, make effective decisions and adopt modern technologies and practices to maximise their efficiency and performance.
We work with team of respected industry specialists to lend their expertise and help us deliver the programme.
Any East Ayrshire business can benefit from the beReady programme and businesses may also be able to apply for financial support to implement new processes as a result of what is learnt.
Complimenting beReady, our Economic Development team also offers specialist vocational training and recruitment support, tailored to the needs of individual businesses.
For existing employees who live in East Ayrshire and meet the eligibility criteria, we can offer funding towards accredited training to allow them to gain a qualification.
We can also help with selection, recruitment and training of new employees and in some circumstances wage subsidies are available.
Our programme of work experience placements and modern apprenticeships has a great track record in matching employers and employees to give businesses the right people with the right skills for future success.
