Vehicle seized
At around 11.45am on Monday June 15, a car was stopped by police for a routine check on Lorne Street, Lochgilphead. Checks revealed that there was no insurance in force for the vehicle and the driver, a man aged 31, was charged with the offence and the vehicle seized. The man was issued with a £300 fixed penalty ticket with six penalty points.
Drugs search
A 55-year-old man was found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis after a house in Tarbert was searched by police at about 11am on Wednesday June 17. He was charged and issued with a recorded police warning.
Charged
At about 8am on Thursday June 18 at Lochgilphead Co-op, a man, 46, allegedly stole some alcohol. He was subsequently cautioned and charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Abusive behaviour
Police attended Blarbuie Road, Lochgilphead after a 37-yearold man behaved in an abusive manner at around 10.30pm on Thursday June 18. The man was arrested, charged and issued with a recorded police warning.
Damage to vehicle
Between December 2019 and June 2020 in a car park at MacDonald Terrace, Lochgilphead, a black Fiat car has been scratched numerous times.
Arrested and charged
About 1.30am on Sunday June 21 at Argyll Street, Lochgilphead, a man, 29, allegedly behaved in an abusive manner. Police attended and the man was arrested and charged. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
Drunk driver
A 56-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol at around 2.20am on Monday June 22 on the A83, Lochgilphead. The woman was charged with the offence and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
