THERE’S no stopping Craig Edmunds at Viaduct, the Browning/Spotted Fin man following up victory in the recent Guru Festival with top spot in this round of the league.

Peg 130 on Campbell Lake gave him 168-11-0 of carp to 8lb. Craig fished waggler and pellet shallow, pellet at 6m and meat in the edge.

He finished a couple of fish clear of Toby Burrell at next-door peg 129. He stuck to pellet shallow at 14.5m for 156-7-0 of carp to 8lb. The Browning Northants Red side saw their league lead cut back to two points after their Grey counterpar­ts won this round. Top rod was Steve Ross who found two bream backed by skimmers using chopped worm and caster at 12m for 12-9-0. After winning at Larford Lakes the day before, Pete Upperton switched his attentions to Monk Lakes and topped the shop again with 181-14-0 of carp to 9lb and F1s from peg 86 on Lake 2 where he caught on pellet at 5m and 13m and meat and pellet over groundbait in the margins. Tanner’s, Woodpecker, Pines, Oak & Willow (75 pegs) The festival honours went the way of Gareth Lennox after he scored five points with his worst score dropped. He kicked off with a second in section with 113-12-0 from peg 16 on the Tanner’s Lake before scoring section wins on days two and three with 43-13-0 from Pines Lake peg 20 and 141-0-0 from peg 11 on the Woodpecker Lake. Thursday served up a second in section with 51-7-0 from Willow Lake peg 20 before he signed off on Friday with 136-10-0 off Oak Lake peg 15 to notch up his third valuable section win.

WHITE ACRES DYNAMITE BAITS FESTIVAL (MON-FRI)

Pollawyn, Twin Oaks, Trelawney, Jenny’s, Trewaters, Porth Reservoir & Bolingey Lakes (143 pegs) Finishing on 32 points, former Parkdean Masters champion Kev Wadge took the title ahead of Paul Holland on total weight. Kev kicked off with a section win on 113-14-0 from peg 49 on Trewaters using pellet feeder and pellet in the edge. Porth was next and Method feeder with pellet from peg 19 saw him bank a fine 37-12-0 of bream and skimmers for another maximum. Bolingey Lake peg 37 was next and Kev took his third section with 136-5-0 of carp on paste at 5m and in the edge. Thursday served up a mixed bag with a third in section from peg 19 on the Pollawyn Lake but he bounced back to win his section on Friday from peg 4 on the Twin Oaks Lake with 183-3-0 of carp using worm in the margins.
