Monklands club trek
Monklands Ramblers enjoyed a walk last weekend to the Inversnaid and Aberfoyle area.
The A walk took the group from Corbett of Beinn a’ Chroin situated between Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.
This grade A walk and climb was a distance of six miles and 700m of climbing led by Allan Ward.
The B walk of nine miles saw the Ramblers trek from Stronachlachar to Kinlochard led by Liz Cushley.
The next Monklands Ramblers monthly midweek walk will be from Strathclyde Park to Chatelherault and back.
It is a 10-mile trek on good paths as they travel via the Heritage Trail.
Ramblers should meet Meet at Strathclyde Park Visitor Centre at noon.
The walk follows the Avon way to Chatelherault, then the old mineral tramway, past the site of Hoolet Row.
They will then continue along the path before they make their return to the Chatelherault Visitor Centre for coffee before returning to Strathclyde Park.
They expect good paths throughout the walk . They will return will on public transport. Contact David on 01236434706 to book a place.
The meeting of all committee members has been cancelled.
