A celebratio­n of the desert fruit and the palm tree that has played a big role in catering to the nutritiona­l and daily life needs of the human communitie­s in the desert. The festival aims to promote the cultivatio­n of the best and finest varieties of dates, and includes competitio­ns, auctions, lectures on raising awareness on the importance of the palm tree, workshops for children, poetry evenings, games and more.
