CHEESY BEEF BURRITO

-

INGREDIENTS

1 kg of ground beef

2 cups of diced tomato

2 tbsp of tomato sauce

1 tbsp of chopped garlic

1 cup of onion

½ tbsp of oregano

½ cup of basil

1 tsp of pepper and salt

½ cup of thinly slice cayenne pepper

1 cup of fine Mexican cheddar cheese

METHOD

1. Preheat a frying pan over high heat. Once the pan has heated, pour in olive oil, wait a few seconds until the oil is heated, then add chopped garlic, tossing it until it turns golden. Afterwards, place ground beef into the pan or wok.

2. Add diced onion, then cook the ground beef with onion over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes or until it is thoroughly cooked. Don’t forget to keep stirring frequently.

3. After it looks well cooked, drain the excess fat and sprinkle the seasoning as much as you like, mixing in the tomato sauce, salt and pepper and chilli powder if you like it very spicy. Mix the beef and seasoning thoroughly, then add the sliced cayenne pepper and diced tomato, oregano and neatly chopped basil. Stir them around until they look thoroughly cooked and mixed.

4. Scoop them into a bowl.

5. Prepare a sheet of tortilla. Place the cooked beef onto the tortilla, followed by generous spoonful of cheddar cheese or as much as you like. Neatly wrap up the burrito.

6. Preheat a non-stick griddle pan over medium-high heat, then place the burrito onto the pan. Cook it in a pan for 10 minutes. Don’t forget to turn it around until all sides of tortilla are charred and cooked. Now you can smell the irresistible aromatic cheesy beef burrito.
