More than 100 artisans, makers, chefs and delicatessens will have their goods exclusively available at the Hope Fair Special Xmas in the Ballroom of the Rembrandt Hotel, Sukhumvit 18, on Nov 29, from 9am-3pm.

Held to celebrate its second anniversary, the unique fair is a place where clients can shop for a variety of products, from food to houseware to clothes to cosmetics to art, and also talk directly to the suppliers, creators and makers.

Initiated two years ago by a group of expats with the aim to contribute to the community and help make Bangkok a more intimate megalopolis, the fair operates five times a year, in January, March, May, September and November. Vendors are selected by their story, product and what they can offer the community. They will also donate to the Mercy Centre in Klong Toey.

Many of the products are handmade with love, purpose and passion. Foods are mainly organic, healthy, natural and, in some cases, directly from the source, something difficult to find in Bangkok.

A diverse range of unique houseware products embodying the artist’s passion and vision can be found. Cosmetics and health products made from natural ingredients will be available, as well as wellness lifestyle tips. For kids, there will be a selection of educational games, trendy clothes, fun costumes and amusing activities.

Many non-profit community groups are also given the opportunity to sell their wares at the event. They include Lao Song Craft, Sop Moei Art, Art’Isan, Isan Weaving, Klong Toey handicraft, Mekong plus, and other associations supporting people in need. All revenue will go directly to the communities.

Donations will also be accepted on behalf of the Mercy Centre. These can include unwanted clothes, household items, shoes, toys and any other items.
