Gateway College Colombo emerge as the Champions of the SLT powered Inter-school E-Sports Championsh­ip 2019

Gateway College Colombo emerged as the champions of the 4th annual Inter- school E- Sports Championsh­ips organised by Gamer. lk and powered by SLT’s ultrafast broadband connectivi­ty that offered an unmatched cyber game experience to the enthusiast­ic gamers.

The grand finale took place between Gateway College Colombo and Nalanda College Colombo at Stein Studios, Ratmalana recently, amidst much excitement and the rush of adrenaline.

Over 1000 students from more than 150 schools participat­ed in the championsh­ip that comprised of 12 popular e- sports titles. Out of these 150 teams, Gateway College Colombo and Nalanda College Colombo were successful in being qualified for the finals. Fibre provided the required superior c o n n e c t iv i t y ensuring low latency, lagless gameplay and streaming that not only made the cyber games possible, but ensured that the gamers were provided with the fastest, best and smoothest cyber experience ever. Further, the finals were streamed live by SLT.

The two teams competed against each other and Gateway came out as the clear winner, even though the competitio­n was extremely close and well played by both sides.

SLT has not only been an ardent supporter of e- sports, but has also been at its forefront, having successful­ly organized several e- sports championsh­ips in the past to uplift the sport in Sri Lanka. SLT broadband has been well known for its low-latency and highest speeds of over 100 Mbps.
