Northshore College clinches two awards at Emerging Civil Engineer Awards 2016

The Emerging Civil Engineer Award is a competition organized by the Sri Lanka Association of the Institution of Civil Engineers to encourage and support future civil engineers of Sri Lanka. The award aims to identify and reward the most innovative civil engineering student in Sri Lanka and to encourage innovative thinking among all civil engineering students.

Out of the large number of institutes which participated in this competition

Maheshika Gayathri won the First Runner up for her Research on Image based particle size distribution analysis and

Thushtika Sendanayake won the Second Runner up for her Research on Modeling cracks of reinforced concrete water retaining structures.

It was a great achievement for Northshore College and this was an outcome of the hard work of the academics. Northshore College, is the exclusive partner institute of University of the West of England (UWE) in Sri Lanka. UWE is renowned for offering a wide range of highly recognized courses both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Students in Sri Lanka can now experience the same standards of UWE at Northshore College.
