Trinity Under-17 unbeaten in Div I

-

Trinity’s under 17 cricketers maintained a perfect record by winning all four matches in the second round of the Under 17 Division One tournament. They have entered the quarter-finals.

Their performance is more creditable because two of their matches were played on matting pitches at Ambalangoda and Ratgama. Non-turf pitches, it must be said, are not their favourite surface.

Skipper Sanogeeth Shanmuganathan has certainly led from the front with some very consistent efforts with the bat. Allrounder Hasitha Boyagoda has supplied with plenty of runs and his off-spin has shared many a batsmen. Left arm pacie Rashmika Dilshan has invariably produced the goods. Sangeeth has scored around 730 runs in the tournament so far, while Dilshan has accounted for 33 victims.
