Creativity and glamour at “Hair Art 2013”

101 students will showcase their work at 8th annual graduation ceremony of the Sunsilk-ramani Fernando Hair and Beauty Academy

The 8th annual graduation ceremony of the Ramani Fernando Hair and Beauty Academy, together with Sunsilk, will be held on March 20 at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo.

The event was announced at a press conference on the 26th of February at the Bougainvil­lea Ballroom, Galadari Hotel, Colombo.

This year 101 students will graduate from the Sunsilk-Ramani Fernando Hair and Beauty Academy which is one of the oldest and the most recognised beauty academies in Sri Lanka offering diplomas, advanced courses and specialist courses in hair and beauty care.

The theme of this event will be “Hair Art 2013” and will include the Bling category, Fantasy category, Bridal category and the Men’s category with cut and colour. “This year the show will present many elements and designs of Hair Art. This glamorous show is an opportunit­y for students to portray their talent and creativity,” said well known designer Senaka De Silva who will choreograp­h the event.

CEO and Managing Director of Ramani Salons Ramani Fernando, announcing the event said “It is with great pleasure and excitement that we prepare for the graduation ceremony. Our students and of course our very own lecturer Lucky Lenagala, have performed very well and brought honour to the academy and country.”

Director- Marketing Home and Personal Care Unilever Sri Lanka, Asanga Ranasinghe added that Sunsilk, one of the leading hair care brands of Unilever in order to meet the different hair care needs of the consumers has tied up with many prominent profession­als in the hair industry around the world.

The event was attended by Channel Manager- Unilever Sri Lanka Channa Tennakoon, Brand Manager- Sunsilk Unilever Sri Lanka Nayomi Delwita, and Managing Director- Ramani Fernando Academy (Training) Lakmini Lenagala.
