LAUGFS’ very own Crimson bakeries are strategically located within its supermarkets, offering patrons a variety of freshly made sweet and savoury goodies. They range from pastries and buns, to breads and scrumptious desserts.

Initially, the concept was to entice shoppers with the aroma of warm and ‘just baked’ delicacies as they go about their weekly shopping. This simple idea grew over time with increased demand from shoppers, and it is now one of the most successful ventures within the LAUGFS group.

Given the success of its efficient and dedicated team, Crimson Bakery needed a larger space and so a central processing unit was established in Nedimala. Today, this central unit supplies almost 70 percent of LAUGFS supermarkets’ demand for bread.

If you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere in which to sip a hot cup of coffee and tuck into a succulent pastry, head over to Crimson Bakery’s new cafe, which is located in Bellantara. It is strategically located next to LAUGFS Car Care – a state-of-the-art car care centre – providing customers with a place in which to relax while they have their vehicles washed and polished.

The Bellantara cafe offers customers a wider variety of freshly baked goods, deliciously made sweets and flavour packed finger foods. This time around however, Crimson Bakery is also providing customers a new range of products – products that are unique and can only be found in the cafe; for example, wraps, freshly squeezed juices, naturally sourced energy drinks and soft serve ice-cream.
