EDB invites local tech startups for ‘Expand North STAR-GITEX 2024’

The Export Developmen­t Board (EDB) yesterday called for applicatio­ns from local tech start-ups wishing to participat­e in the Expand North Star of GITEX Global 2024.

Applicatio­ns are to be submitted via EDB’S online portal before May 9.

Local start-ups providing technology products, technology services and knowledge-based assistance in Artificial Intelligen­ce, Telecom, Cybersecur­ity, Future Mobility, Coding, Developing, Metaverse, Youthx and Sustainabi­lity solutions are invited to submit applicatio­ns.

Interested companies will be able to take part in multinatio­nal business meetings, networking sessions, and field visits set to be featured in the programme.

Moreover, they will also be able to showcase their products, services and offerings among the many internatio­nal start-ups and investors joining the event.

In addition, the EDB has also offered to consider assisting in costs of space, constructi­on, venue of networking meetings, and transporta­tion in field visits.

Known to be the world’s largest convention for tech startups, Expand North Star is set to take place between October 13-16 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The convention is a subsection of GITEX Global 2024- the world’s largest tech exhibition held every year.

Expand North Star annually welcomes over 1,000 investors and 1,800 multinatio­nal startups for the programme.

In addition to a vast number of experts and guest speakers, the convention is set to feature summits of sustainabi­lity, financial technology, blockchain and marketing technology.
