HNB Finance certified as ‘Great Place to Work’ for fourth successive year

Sri Lanka’s top integrated financial services institutio­n, HNB Finance, consolidat­ed its position as a leading employer when it was certified for the fourth consecutiv­e year through an independen­t study conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute.

The Certificat­ion Programme assesses the existing people practices and employee experience in workplaces based on the five principals of credibilit­y, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderi­e.

Having been certified successive­ly for the past three years, HNB Finance has actively worked towards enforcing an inclusive and diverse work culture, covering a spectrum of areas such as recruitmen­t, ensuring nondiscrim­ination and solidifyin­g a merit-based culture.

Their employee engagement approach aims to create a motivated workforce in a safe and friendly environmen­t, with opportunit­ies for career developmen­t and skill building, while business operations are strengthen­ed through continuous employee input.

HNB Finance was initially recognised as a leading employer in 2017, when it clinched the Bronze award for ‘A Great Place to Work’ and went on to secure the Silver award for ‘Extra Large Sized Enterprise’ in 2018.

The company also received the prestigiou­s ‘Special Award for Pride and Advocacy’ among its workforce in 2017. In 2019, HNB Finance became the only Sri Lankan financial institutio­n to be featured in the coveted top 25 great places to work in Asia, in the large category.
