-

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka (CIM) organised a series of motivational programmes to the students of the University of Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo.

The programmes were held during the first and second weeks of June 2018. Students of different departments of the University, such as the dancing, drama and the music faculties were invited to attend the programme. Well-known senior marketing lecturer and consultant Prasanna Perera was the keynote speaker and CIM students Thamara Thejani and Sachini Ranasinghe also shared their experience with the audience. On behalf of CIM SL, Onalie Dissanayake, Manager, Education Services spoke on the occasion noting that marketing will be an added advantage in order to achieve respective career goals, regardless of their varied career choices.

CIM firmly believe seminars of this nature are essential to infuse confidence among the students and make them work-ready. Feedback received from the students indicated they were highly appreciative and also inspired by the day’s presentations.

CIM is the largest community of professional marketers in the world with 100 years of heritage delivering education, membership and insight offerings to the marketing and sales profession. CIM Sri Lanka is the first international branch of CIM UK comprising the largest number of members, both professional and students outside the UK. The regional institute has always campaigned for greater recognition and excellence in the marketing profession in Sri Lanka, through education, training and professional development.
