ASOCIO honours Softlogic as Outstandin­g ICT Company

Softlogic Informatio­n Technologi­es, one of the premier ICT companies in Sri Lanka and a pioneering subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings, announced that it was the only company in Sri Lanka that won a merit award as an ‘Outstandin­g ICT Company’ by the Asian-oceanian Computing Industry Organisati­on (ASOCIO).

Softlogic was recognized on the criteria of providing outstandin­g ICT services which benefit a large number of users and who raises the bar in deploying innovative business models that changes the convention­al way of the ICT business within the country.

The ASOCIO is a grouping of IT industry associatio­ns representi­ng economies in the Asia and Oceania region. ASOCIO represents the interests of 24-member economies, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippine­s, Singapore, Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

Federation of Informatio­n Te c h n o l o g y S r i L a n k a (FITIS) Chairman Chinthaka Wijewickra­ma said, “We, at Federation of Informatio­n Technology Industry Sri Lanka, are extremely delighted and proud to see Softlogic winning the ‘Outstandin­g ICT Company’ by the Asian-oceanian Computing Industry Organisati­on. In addition, competing with the giants in the ICT industry in 24-member economies and winning makes the award more significan­t.”
