Pawan Dias of Royal College Panadura,the inaugural leader of the All-island Schools segment of the 37th Bata-the Sunday Times Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2016 contest,continues to dominate for the second successive week.he received 366 votes in the concluded week,taking his tally to 634 as he is ahead of second-placed Lakshina Rodrigo of St.peter’s College by 146 votes.at third place is Ravin Sayer of Trinity College while Malshan Rodrigo of St.joseph’s College and Lahiru Thmabawita of Holy Cross College have combined to form a formidable top five. With Pasindu Sooriyaban­dara of Royal College Colombo at sixth position -close behind the top five,the contest of this segment can give surprising results as the competitio­n grows.
