MCA Premier League semis today

The Semi-finals of the 20th Singer-MCA Premier League Knock-out tournament will take place today November 27 (Poya day).

The Quarter finals were played on Saturday November. 24

League No.2 MAS Unichela easily over came ETI by 06 wickets at the NCC grounds.

Batting first, ETI, helped with two good knocks by Gayan de Silva (53) and Eranga Gangoda (43) scored 179 in 39.5 avers.

An unbroken 121 runs partnershi­p for the 05 wicket between Malinda Warnapura (77 runs with 06 fours & 03 sixes) and Dilruwan Perera (65) propelled MAS Unichela to their winning target, scoring 180 for 37.1 overs.

League No. 3, HNB coasted a considerab­le 07 wickets win over Seylan Bank at De Soysa Park, Moratuwa.

The match commenced in the afternoon, due to wet ground conditions and was reduced to a 36 overs a side game.

Vimukthi Fernando (5 for 22) & Nimesh Perera (2 for 22) bowled brilliantl­y for HNB to restrict Seylan Bank to 155 in 35-overs.

An opening stand of 88-runs between Saman Jayantha (50) and centurion Hashan Gunatillak­e (45), saw HNB reaching their target in comfort, 156 for 3 in 27.2 overs.

League No. 4, Sampath Bank scored a comprehens­ive 122—runs win over John Keells at Bloomfield grounds.

Sampath Bank sent into hat, posted a formidable 266 in 45 overs riding on a stylish 77 runs by Thilina Kandamby.

J. Keells crashed to 148 in 28.4 overs, mesmerized by Jeewan Mendis, who finished with 07 for 44.

In the 1st semi-final on the poya day, League Winner, MAS Active, who drew a bye will confront the inform Sampath Bank at Colts grounds.

On the same day in the 2nd semi-final, the dark horse HNB will race with MAS Unichela at De Soysa Park, Moratuwa.

The Final will be played on December 1, at the Colts Ground.
