Until May 16: Season of children’s shows at Torrevieja international auditorium, all of thich take place at 12.00 on the third Sunday of each month. Tickets €6 for children and €10 for adults, are available online from www.auditoriotorrevieja.com, and in person, on weekdays from 11.00-14.00 at the Virgen del Carmen culture, and the theatre box office two hours prior to each performance. March 21: Puppet show, El país de Babia (the country of Babia)
April 18: There will be a theatre production of Nautilus. 20,000 leguas de viaja submarino (Nautilus. 20,000 leagues under the sea).
May 16: Magic show, Días de nocilla y magia (days of nocilla – a hazelnut and chocolate spread similar to Nutella – and magic)
FREE GUIDED ECO-TOURS
Until May 23: Free guided ecotours of La Mata-Torrevieja natural park are returning after a forced hiatus due to the pandemic. Registration is essential at www.turismodetorrevieja.com/ecorutas or by telephoning the municipal tourism office on 96 570 34 33. It is recommended that participants wear comfortable clothing, suitable footwear, food and water, a cap, binoculars and camera. All tours start from the park interpretation centre, situated just off of the N-332 road at La Mata, at 10.00. The wearing of masks, use of hydroalcoholic gel, and social distancing is essential.
March 27, April 25 and May 23: Ornithological tour aiming to introduce participants to bird watching and learning about some of the park’s emblematic species, such as storks, avocets, common shelducks, flamingos and stone curlews
April 11 and May 8: Family route’ that gives people the opportunity to learn about the park’s natural and cultural heritage, in a fun and enjoyable way

October 10 rescheduled from February 14: Manduixa theatre company production, Lù (‘path’ in Chinese) features ‘dance and visual arts to enjoy with all the family’. It is described as ‘a magical, creative and poetic show’ aimed at children aged five years and over, and is about the ‘power of creativity and imagination as a form of escape from the cruelty and hardship of life’.
The show is scheduled to be at Torrevieja municipal theatre on Sunday, February 14 at 17.00 and 18.30. Tickets are €5. With the continuing effects of the coronavirus still having a major impact on day to day activities, including cultural events, these shows may be rescheduled, postponed or event cancelled
