New art exhibition in Villajoyosa
The contemporary art space of the Villajoyosa museum of Barbera dels Aragonés presents “Introspection”, a new exhibition by Carlos Beltrán.
The exhibition will open this Friday, September 6 at 20: 00 and will be open to the public during September and October.
A multi- talented artist, born in Petrer and based in Altea, Carlos Beltrán has a wide creative career in different artistic fields. His work "Hidden Beauty" won the first prize of the 5th edition of the "Francesco de Benedetta" art competition held in La Nucía in the subject of figurative painting. This was an award that the jury of the aforementioned contest unanimously awarded to Beltran.
Beltrán is a self- taught artist who in addition to his creations with individual exhibitions in Altea, has exhibited in Alicante, Ciudad Real and Dublin. He also has literary publications and a career as a singer- songwriter, not forgetting his works of stained glass in Spain.
“With this series of works, I have come to visualise the depth of much of my hidden feelings, as well as find the calmness of my emotional balance. Works that reflect the harshness and raw sensitivity of life in its stages, darkness and times of clarity”, said the artist.
The exhibition can be visited during September from 10: 00 to 12: 00 and from 18: 30 to 20: 00. The October hours are from 10: 00 to 12: 00 and from 17: 00 to 19: 30. On Friday afternoons the exhibition will be closed.
