Jávea Computer Club

- By Jacki Pamflett

Unfortunately, as most of our members will already be aware, the club premises suffered severe flooding during the Easter weekend storms and is currently out of commission – and likely to remain so for several months to come. The water level reached up to 2 metres and of course therefore almost all of our equipment will have to be replaced.

It is going to be some considerable time before there will be any likelihood of a return to the premises, so in the meantime the committee have made arrangements for us to temporarily be accommodated at Paris 24 (previously L’Áncora) in Avda. Paris, just a short distance from our normal location. So, we look forward to seeing members there from 9.30 a.m. on Monday next, 6 May.

Obviously without all of our equipment, we may be somewhat restricted with hardware help, but we will do our very best with everything else. Normal group days include Android on Mondays, with Apple, Genealogy and general assistance on Tuesdays. The Card Marking group will also recommence their meetings on Tuesday,7 May 7.

We advise all members to check on the website at https:// javeacomputerclub.com or our Facebook page for any updates, or you can still email us at javeacomputerclub@gmail. Of course, the President will be issuing regular Newsletters to keep you informed.

Assistance can still be obtained by members and nonmembers alike via our Helpline which provides a facility for information, queries and help – a Google group; messages posted there can be viewed at https://groups. google.com/d/forum/jcc-help line

If you would like to register in order to post in the Group, please see https://javeacompu terclub.com/about-jcc/
