FRIENDSHIP, sharing and caring are the important messages in the play

Little Grey Rabbit.

Written by acclaimed British author Alison Uttley, the play tells the story of three friends who learn about being kind and helpful. Squirrel, Hare and Little Grey Rabbit live peacefully together in a little house in the woods.

One day, Hedgehog, the milkman, tells them a weasel has moved into the woods. Little Grey Rabbit warns her friends not to open the doors to strangers, however when Little Grey Rabbit goes off to the shop, they open the door of their house without asking who it is and the weasel is at the door!

The show is on at the Artscape Theatre Foyer during the June/July school holidays and is appropriate for children two years and older.

Hania Hendricks, 9, who plays a hare named Harry, said: “I love acting and performing in front of children. It’s wonderful meeting children from other schools who are also taking part in the show. Dressing up and wearing hare makeup is also fun.”

Sarah Holwill, 11, who plays the Little Grey Rabbit, said: “I think the play is really entertaining and will make you laugh and smile and it is full of surprises.”

Tickets are R90 per person. Book at Artscape Dial-a-Seat at 021 421 7695 or Computicket www.computicket.co.za.
