Chloe on the move...

- Billy Suter

BUBBLY Durban singerpianist Chloe Clark, a finalist in the recent The Voice, who has a passion for swinginfused songs, is being kept busy since leaving the hit M-Net talent search series.

Tomorrow she performs from 7pm at Talloula in Botha’s Hill as a member of vocal trio The Brunettes, also featuring Tammy Saville and Marion Loudon.

They plan to present a fun mix of songs with soulful harmonies and piano accompaniment, including numbers associated with such diverse acts as Marilyn Monroe, Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse and Avicii.

The Brunettes made a big impression last year when they provided vocal backing for Irish star Ronan Keating’s appearance at the Starlight Pops concert, with the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra, at Umhlanga’s Chris Saunders Park.

Talloula is at 61 Old Main Road, Botha’s Hill. Tickets for the show and a meal cost R295 a person and booking is by phoning 031 777 1586.

Clark will also be entertaining from 7pm on Friday and Saturday at the Jazzy Rainbow, 93 Smisio Nkwanyana (Goble) Road.

On Friday, she shares the stage with a fellow contestant on The Voice, Lana Crowster, a singer, composer, arranger and vocal coach based in Johannesburg. Admission is R60, doors open at 7.30pm and the music flows from 8pm.

Clark returns to the venue at 7pm on Saturday to share the stage with Ndu Khuzwayo and Nosihe Zulu, who is a current Top 100 finalist on M-Net’s Idols. Tickets will cost R60 each.
