MANGANESE AT PORTS
The only facilities available to the manganese industry should be at the ports of Port Elizabeth and Ngqura. Some bank balances need to be checked.
BYE-BYE CYRIL
Bobbyg
From hero to zero. And he came into power with such great hopes and now that power has gone both literally and figuratively. Cheerio Cyril and ANC.

HIRE THE DOCTORS
One thousand doctors without work? We went to our Provincial Hospital clinic today to collect our medication and we were lucky to get away after about six hours. The chemist was operational but only a few assistants and one retired doctor who came to help out as others weren’t paid yet. What a shame and what about the 1,000 doctors who still don’t have work. Why not let them start at our hospitals with their own office and enough beds if that’s still the case. Many years ago that used to be one of the best hospitals in our province with top doctors and specialists and it would be interesting to know if it turned out to be the same elsewhere.

TOTALLY CONFUSED
I was educated to a reasonable standard, albeit many moons ago. I have just read the letter by Bruce Woolard — three times. Was it about euthanasia? I remain totally confused. We enjoy receiving the printed version so we can read it in bed (after the dog has collected it from the driveway) but I have to say I needed the second cup of coffee. I still didn’t understand, but wondered if the writer was on something to alleviate his own pain.

YEARS OF NEGLECT
Our people are really suffering in that [Livingstone] hospital, for decades on end now. No spin or damage control by Sizwe Kupelo could sway our opinion of years of neglect by the ANC government to our sick and elderly.

RICHMOND HILL IN THE DARK
Load-shedding. How is it possible that Richmond Hill area is getting hammered with the worst possible times every week — 4 to 6, 6 to 8 and 8 to 10. This amounts to 40 hours in a 10day period.
EXPOSING A LIE
Ratepayer
Livingstone Hospital. The front page of the Herald of February 26 makes a lie of the ANC’s two-page spread telling us all, at our expense, how good they are.

PHOTOCOPY MACHINES
It has now been almost six months that various photocopier machines of the SAPS have been removed due to the contract with the service provider not being paid. So now, they must travel about 10 minutes to make copies of documents. This is scandalous and a waste of taxpayers money. What next?

MAYOR TAKE NOTE
What an amusing and spoton letter from Malcolm Dodds in The Herald of February 27. Let’s hope our mayor also takes note.
E de Lange STOP THE BARKING
Would the dog owner living in Gomery Road, Summerstrand, please take note that from 5am every morning when you let your dog out, the ongoing, nonstop barking from your dog disturbs not only your immediate neighbours but also many elderly folk living in nearby retirement villages. This is most unacceptable and totally inconsiderate on your part. Maybe you are taking some form of exercise at this early time of the day or leaving for work but, for those of us still needing some sleep, please be aware of this daily disturbance to many folk living nearby.

ANC SILENT ON NAVALNY
Alexei Navalny: In total contrast to the torrent of outrage from the West, an expected total silence from the usually chirpy [Naledi] Pandor and the ANC regarding the death of Navalny in Russia. But then, we know they have no appetite for criticising their friend, comrade [Vladimir] Putin.
EVERY CENT COUNTS
You can tell times are hard when you no longer see the odd 10c and 20c pieces discarded in parking bays.
